Stokes Bay Community Hall Donation We wanted to provide you with an update regarding the proceeds from our last movie, Bohemian Rhapsody. Wow what a fab night!
Your committee unanimously agreed to donate the $6,000 profit from the night to help with the rebuild of the 60 year old Stokes Bay Hall, Kangaroo Island, that was destroyed in the bushfire. We chose this place, as like our hall, it is a place where the local community can come together to have fun, sing, create, play, share, and learn. We hope to one day see the Stokes Bay Hall packed with smiling faces and to share one of our unique Cinemallunga experiences with them. In 2019 the Stokes Bay Fireworks held at the hall was recognised as the KI Community Event of the Year. In November part of the hall was renovated with a new kitchen and after only one event was completely destroyed in the horrific bushfire on January 4. A number of our local CFS volunteers spent many days and nights on the fire ground. So the loss of their hall really did hit home with us.
At this time we hope you all stay safe and healthy and we at Cinemallunga will be back stronger and better than ever after what we hope is a short hibernation!

Please stay tuned to our social media channels, emails and this website to find out what kind of shenanigans we might get up to instead of our sometimes up-close-and-personal event that we all know and love.
